Watercolour and pen originals, prints and commissions
As an artist, I draw my inspiration from the natural world finding beauty in everything from pebbles on a beach to the grace of animals and birds. I try to capture these amazing species with the translucent washiness of watercolours and the textures and marks created by the pen to bring these species to life.
I originally specialised in sculpture during my Fine Art Degree before becoming a Secondary Art teacher and then Head of Art and Photography. After having my 3 crazy children I rediscovered my passion for drawing and it has since become my full-time occupation. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to pursue my passion daily.
My portfolio includes a wide range of commissioned work, such as a series of twelve pet portraits for a local business, and informational signs for Fishponds Park in Surbiton. I’ve also completed numerous private commissions featuring pets, animals and homes. In addition to my commissioned work, I have exhibited at several Art fairs and I have built up a collection of original pieces and a selection of Giclée prints.
